ARNES

  • We don't have official Social Media strategy.
  • "Go with the flow" - start with basic (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn) page and build up as users start to access your sites. The approach was built from bottom to the top, though great concern was invested in answering "WHY" question for every step we did.
  • Try to be as personal as possible
  • Publish pictures from every event possible (allow people to comment and tag themselves)

RedCLARA (Latin America)

There are no social media strategies defined in any LA country; for all the LA NRENs, and for RedCLARA, the definition about entering in the social media environment was more than a very thoughtful move, a decision made by the new visibility chances given by these social media channels. In a couple of discussions held in face-to-face meetings in 2010 and 2011, RedCLARA did a little study/presentation referred to social media in the NRENs environment, and the conclusion was very simple: if it does not take much of your time, just try it.
