Current progress |
A minimal set with all required components is out as "public beta": Swiyu wallet, issuer and verifier components and a proprietary trust framework. The BGEID (the Swiss E-ID law) passed the parliament in December 2024. More than 50k citicens signed a call for referendum , which will require requiring a popular vote on the law. This vote will take place end of took place on 28 September 2025 . If and the law passes, the passed with a marginal majority. The Swiss E-ID will be implemented as planned . If not, all work will be stopped and no E-ID will be implemented for years to comewith a delivery date in 2026/27. |
