1. GÉANT has an honoured position as a partner within the R+E networking community. As staff, we are inspired on a daily basis by our mission to deliver services of uncompromising quality to scientists, researchers and academics who collaborate to tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges.

2. The diverse community we serve - and the challenges they face - drives us to find innovative solutions to problems and to embrace change so that we are well placed to anticipate their needs. We are actively encouraged to be curious, to question and to learn. 

3. We are a friendly and proudly multi-cultural and diverse bunch. Harnessing our differences is our biggest strength and we come together as a team to tackle challenges so complex that they can’t be undertaken alone. We like to have fun and enjoy the fact that we are different; we never disrespect people based on who or what they are.  

4. We relish taking ownership of work and, thanks to informed and quick decision making, we are empowered and trusted to take wise decisions. We have a great understanding of our organisational and individual goals and set ourselves ambitious targets.

5. We measure what we do - we know that results matter. We like to celebrate when we do well and don’t ignore poor performance. But we don’t blame people with great ideas for trying new things that don’t succeed: we’d rather try and fail than be unambitious.

6. We are as agile as we can be whilst understanding that, in return for the funding we receive, we must comply with some serious regulation. To get the balance right, we do everything we can to root out unnecessary bureaucracy and work to remove the roadblocks that can cause friction.

7. We are proud of our offices, which support the different and flexible ways that we like to work. Beyond the walls of our offices is a wider world which we care about: we strive to maximise the good we do for it and minimize the damage we cause by recycling everything possible and incentivising the use of shared and public transport.
