1 Welcome and Introduction

All the attendees gave an updated on their federation and their goals for this task over the next 11 months. All work will be captured on the wiki page Task 3 - eduGAIN.

2 Clarification of Status

The status of all federations was updated on the federation development page and it will be updated overtime to reflect progress.

3 Current Roadblocks

MARnet/Vasko asked whether "self-signed" certificates were acceptable for signing federation metadata. This is very acceptable to the federation community. Care should be taken with public websites and the use of certificates that end users can trust.

4 Future Communication

Suggestion for a T1.3 specific mailing list, or a mailing list for all federation starters was discussed. Important because there are very similar needs for the participants. This will be investigated. Skype contact detalis were also shared and the task leader welcomed all participants to contact him directly via email/Skype for advice and guidance.

5 Any other Business

No other issues were raised at this time.
