On the 1st of July 2015 the Trusted Certificate Service (TCS) will has officially move from Comodo moved to the new supplier Digicert.

This space is the home for the new service. The main part of it is dedicated to the wiki where customers can find the description of the service and the relative documents.

Notice that Notice that the wiki is intended as a guide on the look-and-feel of the CertCentral portal. It gives hints on how to use the new service; many of the included lessons were learned by the Phase 1 test team and might not be up to date anymore.

TCS Membership – Who can apply?

An NREN can join the Trusted Certificate Service if:

...

(ii)        it is from one of the countries listed in the contract between Digicert and GÉANT. The list of countries can be found is in the Addendum to the main contract and contains the following countries:

Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia (Former Yugoslav Republic of), Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Vatican City, Yemen


Clarification on the definition of Subscriber

The contract between GEANT and the NRENs defines GÉANT Association's Certificate Practice Statement (TCS CPS) that the NRENs agree to follow when signing the TCS contract defines the subscriber as following:

"Subscriber” means a Research and/or Educational organization and/or non-commercial member of an NREN requesting a Certificate through an Account


In this definition non-commercial refers to: 

universities, colleges, schools, academies, private colleges, research council establishments and institutes, libraries, museums, learned societies, charities sponsoring education or research, organisations supporting research and education (in these cases the organisation may use the service solely for the purpose of providing such support) and other public-sector organisations funded by government.
