Servers
eduroam Managed IdP infrastructure consists of four servers:
Hostname | OS | IPv4 address | IPv6 address |
---|
auth-1.hosted.eduroam.org | CentOS 7 | 83.97.93.56 | 2001:798:3::14c |
auth-1.hosted.eduroam.org | CentOS 7 | 83.97.93.57 | 2001:798:3::14d |
hosted.eduroam.org | CentOS 7 | 83.97.93.31 | 2001:798:3::133 |
ocsp.hosted.eduroam.org | CentOS 7 | 83.97.93.32 | 2001:798:3::134 |
Monitoring
All the servers are monitored through Srce monitoring system which uses Nagios & Zabbix to collect data and check services. Nagios checks are both active (Nagios checks for itself) and passive (propagated from Zabbix).
Only Nagios sends alerts (via email).
Backup
All the servers are configured to compress important data and dump relevant databases daily. Data is then copied to cat-ams.eduroam.org which backs up data on a daily basis through IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
Copies of data backed up are retained for 30 days locally.
Table with backed up data is below:
Hostname | Directories/files to back up | Databases to back up |
---|
auth-1.hosted.eduroam.org | /opt/tls | eduroam (MySQL) |
auth-2.hosted.eduroam.org | /opt/tls | eduroam (MySQL) |
hosted.eduroam.org | /var/www/html | managed_idp (MySQL) |
ocsp.hosted.eduroam.org | /home/statements /var/www/html | N/A |
